Ms. Mang gave you the instructions and posted them on the board.

Mrs. Welton reviewed the "WORD SALAD" analogy and provided a visual/overhead description. We discussed three main questions that are listed in the handout below. Please add all these documents to your journal. We reviewed the article that describes new research with regards to working memory. Mrs. Welton talked about personal stories to emphasis the points described in research.
The class then completed a think pair share activity where students read portions of the chapter and presented it back to the class.
Mrs. Welton has the 10 min 20/20 new clip on CD if you would like to borrow it. It is more clear than the youtube version.
Also it is on youtube. See link.

See Harvard Review listed below.
We watched a short 5 min clip :
See below if interested.

Handout. Psychopaths Among Us. I could not download this to web so see me if you did not get one.
Dont be late!
If we have time we will start a documentary that shows the disturbing mind of a psychopath. The beginning of this film is quite disturbing, however there is no graphic material involved in this documentary. I particulary like this film as it does not glorify such horrific acts or add to the notoriety of specific psychopathic individuals. You will see an interesting link between the article I gave you to read and the research presented in this film. I think it is fantastic that a leading researcher in this area resides in British Columbia and teaches at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Robert Hare is a leading and respected psychologist that is making waves throughout North America and Europe. This is an hour long segment that has 6 parts. I am not sure we will have the chance to view all links so you are welcome to view them on your own.
